When: Friday, October 14th, 2016 7:30 PM (CDT) Where: Hemmle Recital Hall 2624 W 18th St, Lubbock, Texas 79409 This opening concert of the Chorale’s 41st season will offer songs of peace and reconciliation, featuring Randall Thompson’s "The Peaceable Kingdom," based on Edward Hicks’ painting of the same name, depicting a scene from Isaiah: “And the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb…” The Chorale is also delighted to welcome and collaborate with the West Texas Children’s Chorus, under the direction of Susan Brumfield, for this concert. TLC and WTCC are also thrilled to premiere a specially commissioned composition, "A Child Shall Lead Them," by William Linthicum Blackhorse, for children and adult choruses. Comments are closed.
